The Center for Latin American Studies hosted a speech by the Hon. Luis G. Fortuño, Governor of Puerto Rico. Fortuño spoke about the presence of Puerto Rico in U.S. Politics and the current state of U.S.-Latin American relations. Prior to his election as Governor, Fortuño represented Puerto Rico in the United States Congress where he served as ranking member of the House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Insular Affairs and as chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Conference.
