Keetah Salazar-Thompson (MALAS '08)

Keetah Salazar-Thompson graduated in 2008 with a joint BSFS/MA in Latin American Studies with a dual concentration in Government and Political Economy.  Since graduating, Keetah has joined the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) as a Presidential Management Fellow.  She is currently working for the Office of Development Partners on the Millennium Challenge Coordination Team.  As part of her responsibilities, she backstops the joint USAID-MCC Africa Threshold programs in countries such as Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, and Kenya.  In addition, Keetah is currently involved in the development of the Latin American and Caribbean Council on Renewable Energy (www.lac-core.org), which encourages active dialogue between different stakeholders interested in renewable energy within the LAC region.

Keetah has continued to be involved with CLAS by helping to organize the CLAS Alumni Group, a social and professional networking group formed to help connect CLAS graduates around the world.  She has also coordinated events for CLAS alumni in the Washington, D.C. area.
