CLAS Community

Over 700 students have completed their MA in Latin American Studies through CLAS since its inception in 1959. We want to keep in touch with our alumni after they leave campus. Please keep us updated on all your accomplishments! CLAS maintains an Alumni Database with up-to-date contact and career information to facilitate continued interaction between and among our alumni and current students. If you would like a brief update on your life after CLAS to appear in our website or an upcoming issue of our newsletter, please email clas@georgetown.edu

If you are interested in participating in networking or mentorship programs with us, please let us know at clas@georgetown.edu.

CLAS Alumni Organization

The CLAS Alumni Organization seeks to bring together alumni from Georgetown’s Center for Latin American Studies for networking, socializing, volunteerism, and for the continuation of life-long passions for Latin America.

The alumni group grew out of informal gatherings between CLAS alumni in and around the greater Washington D.C. area. Since 2008, the CLAS Alumni Organization has sought to foster continued relationships and connections between CLAS alumni both in D.C. and throughout the rest of the world. In addition to holding monthly happy hours the second Thursday of every month, the CLAS Alumni Organization participates in joint career-networking events with current CLAS students, helps raise the profile of Latin America in D.C. through various events, and contributes to fundraising efforts for the new CLAS scholarship fund.
