Corporate Support
The Center recognizes the importance of assisting large and small business to access the latest information regarding Latin America. In this spirit, the Center has established a close relationship with the private sector. For instance, the Mexico Project has received financial support from Grupo Alfa, grupo Cydsa, and Cemex to assist the creation of a Mexican Distinguished Scholar Series. Support has also come from Dominion Energy, Oriental Bolivian Railway, and C&O Bolivia (a joint venture affiliate of Constellation Power, Inc. and Ogden Power Corp.) to assist the Center in holding the conference entitled "The Capitalization Program and Other Reform: Bolivia's Quiet Revolution," which featured then Bolivian president Gonzalo Sánchez de Lozada, the Bolivian Minister of Capitalization, and several other high-ranking cabinet members. The Center has also embarked on an effort to bolster its endowment resources both from Latin America and the U.S. The goal is to increase available scholarship, research and administrative support for students and faculty.
