“Historieta Doble: A Graphic History of Participatory Action Research”: LARS

  • About: Join CLAS for the sixth and final LARS of the Fall 2025 semester, featuring Joanne Rappaport, professor emerita in the Georgetown University department of Spanish and Portuguese; Tani Gentic, associate professor in the department of Spanish and Portuguese; and Zyanya Doniz, Varun Biddanda, Maggie Dunlap and Mariamnny Contreras, graduate students in the department of Spanish and Portuguese. *Note: Some elements of the seminar will be in Spanish*

 

CLAS & Georgetown Americas Institute: “From the Bottom Up and the Outside In: Social Movement and International Influences on Democracy in the Americas”

  • When: Thursday, Dec. 4, 2:00pm-3:30pm

  • About: Join CLAS and GAI for a workshop as one aspect of a GAI-CLAS joint research initiative on democracy in the Americas that seeks to identify the contours, causes, and consequences of democratic erosion in the hemisphere. Lunch will be served.
