Tipa is from Thailand. She received a full scholarship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand to pursue her degrees abroad. Prior to Georgetown, Tipa was the first Thai student to obtain an undergraduate degree in International Relations from La Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.

Tipa is from Thailand. She received a full scholarship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand to pursue her degrees abroad. Prior to Georgetown, Tipa was the first Thai student to obtain an undergraduate degree in International Relations from La Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. Due to her passion for the Latin American region, its people, language and culture, in 2017 Tipa participated in AIESEC Global Volunteer program in Bogota, Colombia where she taught English classes to the Colombian youth and then studied Intensive Portuguese course at Pontifícia Universidade Católica in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Most recently, she joined CLAS Summer Program in Santiago, Chile where she studied abroad at Universidad Alberto Hurtado and interned as a research assistant on the topic of Chile-Thailand Bilateral Relations at Universidad de Santiago. Right after her graduation from CLAS, Tipa will be working as a career diplomat at Thailand’s Foreign Ministry. She hopes to be involved in the policy-making process for Thailand-Latin America relations. Currently, Tipa serves as one of the five CLAS Representatives for the 2018-19 Academic Year.
