Bio: Laura was born in Lima, Peru of Colombian and Australian parents, but has lived in Bogota for the better part of her life. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Journalism and History at Northeastern University in 2013. Upon completion of her studies, she moved back to Colombia, where she worked at the International Desk for one of the private networks, Caracol Television. In 2015, she was transferred to D.C., where she is foreign correspondent, focusing on U.S. politics and policy towards Latin America. At CLAS, Laura hopes to develop the tools to identify market opportunities for foreign investors in the region and help them navigate the complex business politics of Latin America.
