Bio: Alondra is a second-year Master’s candidate in Latin American Studies at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. She received her BBA from Emory University in May of 2025, completing a double-major in Business and Spanish and double-concentrations in Organizational Management and Arts Management. While at Emory, Alondra completed and defended a senior thesis titled “Música, memoria e (in)migración: explorando el cancionero del (in)migrante mexicano” for which she received highest honors. In addition to her academic pursuits, Alondra has completed several internships in the arts, humanitarian, and diplomatic sectors. Most recently, she served as a programming intern for the Mexican Cultural Institute – the cultural arm of the Embassy of Mexico in Washington, D.C. At Georgetown, Alondra aims to nurture her academic interests by exploring the intersection between advocacy and the performing arts. A dancer and musician by training, she intends to leverage her own performance experiences to better understand the role(s) of the arts in critical sociopolitical processes.
