Bio: Rebecca Kanter is a second-year Master’s student in the Center for Latin American Studies, where she plans to write a capstone project on US-China power competition in Latin America. Rebecca is currently a civil servant at the U.S. State Department and an intelligence officer in the U.S. Army Reserve. Through her coursework, Rebecca developed a regional interest in Central America and completed internships at the U.S. Department of Defense and McLarty Associates, where she applied her academic learning in practical settings.
