Eric Bazail-Eimil

Bio: Eric Bazail-Eimil is a journalist and a graduate student at Georgetown University's Center for Latin American Studies. Born in South Florida, Eric graduated cum laude from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in 2023 with a degree in regional and comparative studies, focusing on African and Latin American Studies.
He works as a national security reporter at POLITICO, where he co-authors the National Security Daily newsletter and writes breaking national security and defense stories. He also reports on U.S. policy towards Latin America and the Caribbean and the politics of national security. Eric's reporting on U.S. politics, energy policy, immigration and Latin America has also appeared in The Wall Street Journal, RealClearMarkets, NBC Latino, Telemundo, E&E News and Reason. A proud Cuban American, Eric is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
