Sofia Biren
Class of 2027
Hometown: Los Angeles, California
Bio: I graduated from the University of California, Davis (Go Aggies!) in 2024. I majored in Political Science and Spanish, with a minor in Portuguese. During my senior year, I spent a semester at the Universidad Nacional de México in Mexico City, which influenced my decision to pursue Latin American Studies here at Georgetown. As an undergraduate, I interned at the U.S. Department of State in the Office of Global Women’s Issues, where I focused on issues related to Latin America. After I graduated, I taught English at a high school in Andalucía, worked on a farm in Portugal, and backpacked around Europe.
