Hometown: Yunnan, China
Bio: I earned my B.A. from Mount Holyoke College in 2025, where I majored in Music and minored in Spanish. That same year, I began my M.A. in Latin American Studies at Georgetown University. My academic interests center on Indigenous-state relations and gender inequality in Chile, with a particular focus on the experiences of Indigenous women who face both systemic marginalization and patriarchal oppression. I am especially interested in how reconciliation might be fostered through inclusive policymaking, cultural recognition, and socially responsible foreign investment. By examining the intersection of gender, indigeneity, and development policy, my work aims to explore how economic strategies can either perpetuate or help dismantle structural inequalities. Ultimately, I seek to contribute to broader conversations on decolonization, social justice, and the advancement of Indigenous rights throughout Latin America.
