Jamie Alford

Hometown: Springfield, Missouri
Bio: Jamie Alford is a third-year undergraduate student in the Walsh School of Foreign Service, majoring in International Politics with a minor in Spanish. Her research interests include formal institutions of governance, indigenous rights, and agriculture in Latin America. Outside of the classroom, Jamie is a Research Assistant for Georgetown’s States and Institutions of Governance in Latin America (SIGLA), where she has collected data relating to institutions of governmental accountability in Venezuela and Colombia. Jamie has also worked as a Research Intern for the Supreme Court of the State of Missouri, working closely with the Supreme Court Library and Missouri State Archives to perform historical research and author biographies for the former Commissioners of the Court. Additionally, she serves as the Vice President of the 1634 Society and Vice President of Membership for the Georgetown chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta.
