Research: I am working on two projects with Dr. Flora He, the first of which explores how the lack of forest law enforcement can be a form of patronage and how that contributes to deforestation in Latin American tropics. The second project focuses on the effect of mining in Brazil on health outcomes, specifically malaria outcomes.
