Antonia Diaz Montgomery
Class of 2026
Hometown: Bogotá, Colombia
Bio: I was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. I graduated in 2023 with a double degree in Political Science and Law from Universidad de los Andes. During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a researcher at the Observatorio de la Democracia, collaborated with a professor on research into the strategic behavior of the Constitutional Court of Colombia, and served as a teaching assistant at the university. I spent a year working at the human rights clinic PAIIS, advising on legal and public policy matters to advance a human rights agenda in Colombia. I also worked for a year in corporate law at a small legal firm, advising companies on how to structure their operations in Colombia. Since arriving at Georgetown, I have been working as a Research Associate at SIGLA, an online multilingual database that provides free information on legal and political institutions in Latin America. This past summer, I interned in Washington, D.C., at Guernica 37, a transnational litigation team focused on enforcing fundamental human rights in Latin America, where I worked on a project related to Venezuela. I hope to work on topics related to human rights, gender equality, rule of law and institutional development.
