Bio: Parker is a first-year student in the MA program. She holds a BA from St. Lawrence University in Spanish. During her time at St. Lawrence, Parker studied abroad in both Madrid and the Yucatan Peninsula. Both of these experiences helped inform her decision to complete an Honors Thesis in her final year, which analyzed two of the works of author Miguel Angel Asturias. Since her graduation in 2014, Parker has worked as a Spanish teacher, athletics coach and dorm parent in secondary schools during the academic year and as a high school immersion coordinator in Costa Rica in the summer.
