Bio: Carol is a Master's Candidate at the Center for Latin American Studies at the Georgetown University Walsh School of Foreign Service. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Carol graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in International Relations and Diplomacy and a minor in Translation and Interpretation from Dominican University in River Forest, IL. During her undergraduate, Carol did a study abroad experience in China, which drove her interest to better understand China's economic influence in Latin America and the role that economic groups such as the BRICS will play in the world stage in the next few decades. Carol is passionate about foreign policy, diplomacy, trade agreements and collaboration. She hopes to use her time at School of Foreign Service to deepen her knowledge and become a regional expert in her field.
