Bio: Eric Bazail-Eimil is a journalist and a second-year graduate student at Georgetown University's Center for Latin American Studies. Born in South Florida, Eric graduated cum laude from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in 2023 with a degree in regional and comparative studies, focusing on African and Latin American Studies. He works as a national security reporter at POLITICO, where he covers immigration policy and the Department of Homeland Security. He also reports on U.S. policy towards Latin America and the Caribbean. Eric previously co-wrote the National Security Daily newsletter and penned breaking national security and defense stories. A proud Cuban American, Eric is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
