Bio: After completing his Bachelor’s in Global Business at Georgetown’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, Giovanni is on track to finish his accelerated Master’s in Latin American Studies in May 2026. His undergraduate thesis examined oil and gas production in Argentina’s Vaca Muerta region, where he argued for a diversified portfolio of both foreign and domestic investors, alongside an Indigenous revision to ensure the long-term sustainability of the extractive industry. This past summer, Giovanni interned with the Political Section of the Embassy of El Salvador in Washington, D.C. There, he engaged with American and Salvadoran stakeholders to explore investment as a tool for strengthening bilateral partnerships. He also participated in dialogues with think tanks across Washington, contributing to discussions on economic development, trade, and regional security. This fall, Giovanni will continue pursuing his interest in economic policy at the Cato Institute, where he will support the Global Liberty and Prosperity team in research on Latin American economies.
