Class of 2028
Hometown: Columbus, Ohio
Bio: Hope Sanchez is a second-year undergraduate student majoring in psychology with minors in Spanish and Latin American Studies. She is originally from Columbus, Ohio, where she was raised by Venezuelan and Mexican immigrants. Her personal heritage informs her academic interest in cultural psychology and in examining how Latin American sociopolitical issues may influence individuals and their communities on both behavioral and emotional levels. Outside of the classroom, Hope serves as a student coordinator with the Immigration Justice Initiative at Georgetown’s Center for Social Justice, where she works directly with newly arrived and established immigrant communities, populations she has also supported in her home community in Ohio. She is also a board member of Georgetown’s premier Latin dance group, Ritmo y Sabor, and is currently involved in the founding of a new tap dance club on campus.
