Nicole Vasquez
Class of 2028
Hometown: Washington, D.C.
Bio: My name is Nicole Vasquez, and I am a Sophomore in the College of Arts & Sciences at Georgetown University, majoring in Government with a focus on International Relations, and with a minor in Latin American Studies. My family is from La Unión, El Salvador, and I was born and raised in Washington, DC. My Salvadoran background has shaped both my academic and personal interests, particularly in the politics and cultures of Latin America. I have written essays on U.S. foreign policy toward El Salvador, as well as broader questions of politics in the region, which has deepened my interest in immigration issues and policy. This semester, I am serving as the Communications Coordinator for the Salvadoran Club and working with the Center for Applied Legal Studies at Georgetown Law. Beyond academics, I have professional experience in hospitality and retail service, and over 190 volunteer hours.
