On November 15, 2023, CLAS welcomed to campus H.E. Catalina Crespo Sancho, Ambassador of Costa Rica to the United States as part of CLAS’ Ambassador Series. Ambassador Crespo considered issues such as migration, security, and Costa Rica – U.S. relations. After an introduction from CLAS Director Professor Diana Kapiszewski and discussion led by CLAS Director of Academic Affairs Angelo Rivero Santos, students were able to interact directly with Ambassador Crespo and ask questions that ranged from advice on how to enter the world of diplomacy, to Costa Rican foreign policy. CLAS thanks Ambassador Crespo and her team at the Costa Rican Embassy for taking the time to share space with our students and greater community!
