Bio: Felipe Lobo Koerich is a second-year M.A. in Latin American Studies student. He graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown's Walsh School of Foreign Service in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in International Politics concentrating in International law and with minors in French and Latin American Studies. His senior thesis explored Chilean constitutional history since the transition to democracy to prove that the 2019- constituent process needed the 2019-2020 protests and the approval of the right to occur. Born in Campinas, Brazil, Felipe has also lived in Amsterdam, Houston, and New Orleans before moving to Washington D.C. Felipe has worked at Georgetown as a Spanish tutor, a teaching assistant, and a researcher for the SIGLA database. Outside of Georgetown, he served as the Executive Managing Director of Learning Enterprises, a multinational education nonprofit, for its 2020-2021 program year. He looks forward to finishing his studies on diplomatic affairs, regional governance, and constitutional democracy in the region and completing his capstone on Brazilian foreign policy.
