Bio: I was born and raised in Northern California. After graduating from high school I went to my local community college and took a gap year where I moved to Berlin to work as an Au Pair. After returning I transferred to University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where I completed my bachelors degree in Spanish and Communities and Culture. During my undergraduate studies I studied abroad in Spain, spent time working at Latina Republic as a Latin American Correspondent and volunteered at Marvista Family Center as a tutor for bilingual and neurodivergent children. On campus I was part of the finance team for the Coastalong, a club, where I drafted and presented budgets for different scholarship opportunities and worked for UCLA Recreation where I helped facilitate the set up for different sports events held on campus. I am very passionate about Mexico and their relationship with the United States because of my family connections. I hope to research and understand how the United States can work with Mexico to help control, aid and stop the violence with relationship to drug cartels.
