Bio:Lucas is a second-year student in the Master's Program. Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil. Lucas completed his undergraduate education at Nova Southeastern University, where he majored in Political Science with a History minor, graduating Cum Laude with Honors in May 2023.
Upon arriving at Georgetown in the Fall of 2023, Lucas worked at the U.S. House of Representatives, interning for Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar; Representative for Florida's 27th Congressional District. Lucas has been an active member of the Latin America and the Caribbean Foreign Affairs Association, a graduate organization on campus, where he now serves as the CLAS Liaison for the organization. Lucas is also involved with States and Institutions of Governance in Latin America (SIGLA) at Georgetown as a Graduate Research Assistant, his work consists of researching the history of Brazil's Federal Legislative branch since the 1980s.
