Marisil Naborre
CLAS Visiting Researcher
Marisil Naborre is a Visiting Researcher at the Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. She is pursuing an interuniversity doctoral program in Cities, Territories and Sustainable Planning at the Malaga University and Madrid’s Polytechnic University, a partner institution to the Royal Complutense College (RCC) at Harvard University. Her current research interests include sustainable cities, gentrification and population displacement and migration, as a result of urban renewal investment in the Global North and South. She completed post-graduate work at the Department of Urban Studies and Planning of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a Research Fellow. Ms. Naborre has also been an adjunct professor in international project development at the Washington Center in Washington, D.C. She has extensive professional experience in international development and policy in the areas of poverty reduction, social development and involuntary resettlement, as a result of her professional association with the Inter-American Development Bank, the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the Adaptation Fund.
