Valeria Villarreal
Valeria Villarreal is a senior at the Georgetown University Walsh School of Foreign Service studying International Politics with a concentration on Foreign Policy. She is pursuing a certificate in Diplomatic Studies. Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Valeria has worked with the Center for Latin American Studies since the Fall of 2020, providing analysis for LACCOM, an online tool tracking the social, economic, and political impact of COVID-19 in Latin America and the Caribbean, and more recently assisting Dr. Gonzalo Paz with his research on the relationship between regional hegemons and Latin America. She has interned at the Mexican Embassy in Washington DC, at McLarty Associates’ Mexico Practice, and at the Wilson Center’s Mexico Institute.
